چکیده
Structure–activity relations in heterogeneous catalysis can be revealed through situ and operando measurements of catalysts their active state. While hard X-ray tomography is an ideal method for non-invasive, multimodal 3D structural characterization on the micron to nm scale, performing under controlled gas temperature conditions challenging. Here, we present a flexible sample environment at synchrotron radiation sources. The setup features are discussed, with demonstrations powder diffraction (XRD-CT) energy-dispersive tomographic absorption spectroscopy (ED-XAS-CT). Catalysts CO2 methanation partial oxidation methane shown as case studies. adapted different microscopy, spectroscopy, or scattering beamlines, compatible absorption, diffraction, fluorescence, phase-contrast imaging, operate scanning focused beam full-field acquisition mode. We accessible methodology studies, which offer unique source spatially resolved data unavailable contemporary methods.

Hard x-ray nanobeams have become an important tool in modern synchrotron radiation research with applications in many different fields like biology, chemistry, physics and material science. These nanobeams are usually created by focusing undulator radiation with highly specialized nanofocusing optics like reflective Kirkpatrick-Beaz mirror systems, diffractive zone plates or refractive compound...
متن کاملAn X-ray polarimeter for hard X-ray optics
Development of multi-layer optics makes feasible the use of X-ray telescope at energy up to 60-80 keV: in this paper we discuss the extension of photoelectric polarimeter based on Micro Pattern Gas Chamber to high energy X-rays. We calculated the sensitivity with Neon and Argon based mixtures at high pressure with thick absorption gap: placing the MPGC at focus of a next generation multi-layer ...
